Chore Time

It's a long story.......if you add it up in pictures that is.

In reality, these moments string together in a mere matter of minutes and are gone.

Exactly why photography is so important to me....

Time to feed the calves!!!

Wait up guys!

I want to help too.

Supper time?

Bringing back the feed.

Hey guys, really, would you slow down!?

You put out yours...

Then I'll put out mine.

Yum, yum, yum!

Now time to water them...it's a small hike down to the water trough.

Hey Brothers! Where are you going?

Ah man! Guess I have to wait here.

Water is full...time to "hike" back.

We did it! We're done!

Little Man

I just spent the last 45 minutes editing a series of pictures to post to tell a story. Unfortunately, when I renamed them I added a dot to the name which rendered them unreadable by my computer. Ugh....

So I'm just going to share this cutie instead.

This boy has such a distinct look. Like such a little man.

This picture was taken a few weeks ago when we went camping at a local state park. Nathan enjoyed playing in the water that would collect underneath the faucet. We're looking forward to some more camping trips soon. :)

A Glimpse

Do you ever look at your growing child,
the one who's long and lean, no longer sporting those cute baby cheeks,
and catch a brief glimpse of the toddler he once was?

Does it take your breath away and bring a bittersweet tear to your eye?

Would you take a look at that?

Our precious 9 year old, doing what he does best....making noises.

I have to say, I do love a good zoom lens.

When I look at this photo, it's almost like one of those age progression pictures.

There's a little age added, a lot more freckles....
but those same beautiful red lips and golden hair.

The way his lips are pursed....puff his cheeks out just enough to give them a baby look,
if but just for a brief moment.

And in that brief moment....my heart and time stands still.

These are the memories I want to hold forever.

Happy Birthday Joshua!

Nine years ago today (D-Day), this sweet boy came and changed our lives forever. Where has the time gone? It's his last year for single digits!

Doesn't he look so grown up? And so handsome.

Saturday we enjoyed lots of gifts, some delicious hamburgers and this beautiful Red Velvet Cake I made from scratch! The recipe came from the cookbook pictured behind the cake.

{{{{{GASP}}}}} I just realized we're halfway to 18!! Be still my heart.

We LOVE You Josh!
